Clean 2003 Porsche 911 / 996 3.6L Coupe - 6 Speed
Very nice example of a 2003 996 3.6L Coupe 6 Speed. The car runs strong and shifts smoothly. The Exterior is in great condition. The paint polishes to a high luster and is free of dents and rust. The interior has been well taken care of with only minimal signs of wear. The wheels have been upgraded with 997 S wheels and the car lowered to give it an aggressive stance. The car looks great! The engine was upgraded with the IMS bearing upgrade by EPS - the Permanent Fix, along with the rear main seal upgrade. This is a very crucial upgrade on this model Porsche. The EPS IMS bearing upgrade utilizes cylindrical bearings that have a very high load capacity, much more than ball bearings. Cylindrical bearings are used in, high temp & low viscosity lubrication applications such as automatic transmissions. They can carry extreme lateral pressure without wear to the friction surfaces. This is because the bearing friction surface is flat and not concave.
You can drive with confidence not worrying about the ticking time-bomb that is the factory IMS bearing.
